With the Sciton HALO® Treatment, the VEI Aesthetic Center is able to provide patients the results they are seeking with this latest cutting-edge laser technology. With the Sciton HALO® laser, our providers at VEI Aesthetic Center are able to resurface and rejuvenate your skin and reverse years of aging while tailoring a plan specific to your skin type, concerns and lifestyle.

The Sciton HALO® laser is a hybrid fractional laser delivering ablative and non-ablative wavelengths of laser energy to specific areas of the skin. What does this mean? This dual wavelength allows this specific laser to target the top layers of the skin to address textural concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, pore size, and scarring while at the same time it is able to target deeper parts of the skin to correct sun damage, broken blood vessels, pigment concerns such as age spots as well as stimulate collagen production.

Who is the Right Candidate for Sciton HALO®

You could benefit from the Sciton HALO® laser treatment at VEI Aesthetic Center if you are unhappy with signs of aging in your skin and are desiring a youthful glow. If you have skin texture concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, uneven or dull skin tone, bothersome enlarged pores or scarring you may benefit from this non-surgical skin rejuvenating treatment. Before your Sciton HALO treatment, your provider will assess your skincare concerns and develop an individualized treatment plan for your particular case.

Your provider may recommend that you consider other treatments, like BBL (Broad Band Light), a laser peel or Sculptra treatment, in conjunction with your HALO treatment to achieve optimal results.

Sciton HALO® Procedure and Recovery

Prior to your Sciton HALO® Laser Treatment you will come in for an initial consult so that we may discuss your skin concerns and develop a treatment plan that will give you the best results. Once a treatment plan is established your provider will review all of your individualized pre-treatment and post-treatment instruction and you may schedule your appointment.

It is important that you protect your skin with sunscreen and avoid over exposure to the sun prior to your appointment as well as after your treatment. If you arrive to your appointment with a sun burn or suntan your provider will not be able to complete your treatment and you will need to reschedule. Your provider may also advise you to stop certain skincare products or may prescribe you an anti-viral medication if you have a history of cold sores.

Although your provider will always cleanse and sanitize skin treatment areas prior to your Sciton HALO, we advise you to please remove makeup and skincare products before arriving to your appointment.

When you arrive for your laser treatment you will first have topical numbing applied to your face.You may experience a warm sensation during your treatment which is minimized by a cooling device used simultaneously with the laser hand piece used to glide over your skin.

The Sciton HALO® laser treatment is customizable meaning the settings may be increased or decreased according to patients requests for social downtime. Although we are able to decrease the settings in your laser treatment to accommodate lesser social downtime, you will receive greater improvement in your skin rejuvenation with a higher intensity treatment.

The day following your HALO® treatment you may experience swelling, dryness, peeling and redness in the treated areas. With the typical HALO® treatment, we recommend planning for about 3-5 days of social downtime. By days 5-7 you are able to wear makeup. It is imperative that you wear sunscreen following your HALO® treatment.

To maintain results you will achieve from the HALO® treatment we recommend follow up treatments customized to your individual needs. We will also help you establish a good skincare routine to maintain your skin health.
