Who is the Right Candidate for Sciton Contour TRL Deep Laser Resurfacing

You could benefit from the Sciton Contour TRL Deep Laser Resurfacing treatment at VEI Aesthetic Center if you are unhappy with your facial wrinkles, skins texture and tone. Candidates for this treatment must be immunocompetent, cannot be taking blood thinners, or have a history of keloid scars, vitiligo, or treatment with isotretinoin (Accutane®) in the previous year. Before your Contour TRL Deep Laser Resurfacing treatment, your provider will assess your skincare concerns and develop an individualized treatment plan for your particular case.

Your provider may recommend that you consider other treatments, like Sciton HALO, BBL HERO, deeper resurfacing or injectables such as Sculptra, in conjunction with your Sciton Contour TRL Deep Laser Resurfacing treatment to achieve optimal results.

Sciton Contour TRL Procedure and Recovery

Prior to your Sciton Contour TRL Deep Laser Resurfacing treatment you will come in for an initial consult so that we may discuss your skin concerns and develop a treatment plan that will give you the best results. Once a treatment plan is established your provider will review all of your individualized pre-treatment and post-treatment instruction and you may schedule your appointment.

It is important that you protect your skin with sunscreen and avoid over exposure to the sun prior to your appointment as well as after your treatment. If you arrive to your appointment with a sun burn or suntan your provider will not be able to complete your treatment and you will need to reschedule. Your provider may also advise you to stop certain skincare products or may prescribe you an anti-viral medication if you have a history of cold sores.
Although your provider will always cleanse and sanitize treatment areas prior to your treatment, we advise you to please remove makeup and skincare products before arriving to your appointment.

Before your Sciton Contour TRL Deep Laser Resurfacing treatment, topical numbing will be applied to your skin to reduce discomfort. Your surgeon will also provide injections of local anesthetic to improve comfort. This laser resurfacing delivers laser energy, or heat, to a targeted area of the skin to precisely remove the appropriate layers of the skin. Patients will have significant redness and oozing of the skin after their treatment.

It is important to closely follow the post-operative instructions provided by your surgeon and avoid picking at the skin surface during healing. Please refer and adhere to individualized post-care guidelines given to you by your provider.
